Botanical Classification

  • Kingdom: Plantae
  • Order: Alismatales
  • Family: Araceae
  • Genus: Aglaonema

Native Habitat

Aglaonema species come from the tropical understories of Southeast Asia. They grow in warm, humid forests with filtered light and consistently moist, well draining soil. Indoors, similar conditions help Pink Siam keep strong color and steady growth.

Why It’s So Popular

  • Soft pink tones that look good in any décor
  • Low maintenance with forgiving watering needs
  • Handles a range of indoor light conditions
  • Compact habit that suits shelves and side tables
Description

Appearance

Broad, lance like leaves wash from light green to cream, then into warm pink midribs and speckles. The color reads gentle in low light and turns brighter in strong, indirect light.

Growth Habit

Forms a tidy, upright clump that slowly fills out to about 1 to 2 feet tall and wide indoors. Works well as a single statement plant or in a mixed grouping.

Dealing with Pests

Whiteflies

Look for tiny flyers and sticky residue on leaves. Improve airflow and treat early. Prevention guide.

Aphids

Clusters on tender growth can stunt leaves. Rinse, then use insecticidal soap. Full guide.

Fungus Gnats

Let the top inch of soil dry and use sticky traps. Bottom watering helps. Control guide.

Thrips

Silvery scarring and distorted new leaves are common signs. Isolate and treat. Management guide.

Scale

Hard bumps on stems and midribs. Remove by hand, follow with oils. Scale guide.

Spider Mites

Speckled leaves and fine webbing in dry air. Raise humidity and treat. Spider mite guide.

Mealybugs

White cottony clusters in leaf joints. Dab with alcohol, repeat weekly. Mealybug guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much light does Aglaonema Pink Siam need?

Medium to bright, indirect light keeps color strong. It tolerates lower light, growth will slow a bit.

How often should I water it?

Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Avoid soggy soil. Use a pot with drainage.

Does it need high humidity?

Average home humidity works, though a bit higher humidity supports richer color and fewer pests.

Is it safe for pets?

No. Aglaonema is toxic if ingested. Keep away from pets and children.

Thick and comfortable
Color: Black, Size: Medium
These socks fit 7.5 wide size woman's shoe wearer perfectly. Socks are thick and comfy. They stay in place all day. I got rid of all my old socks and it is a pleasure not having to scrounge for a matching pair. They wash and dry well in machine on wool setting.

Very pleased!
Color: Black, Size: Medium
Good fit, good thickness, keeps feet warm and dry, no uncomfortable seams. I've only washed them twice, but will return if items don't hold up. So far they're proving to be a good investment.

Garbage socks.
Color: White, Size: Medium
After wearing a couple times there is a hole in the heel. I think they're made of tissue paper;

Great
Size: Medium, Number of Items: 1
I need something that was soft for my three year old and this ball is super great, it not only is the right size but it also fits in his mouth just right. Although he is a super aggressive chewer, the ball toy hasn't been totally destroyed yet and it is easy on his gums. The ball is so durable that got two of these toys just for fun.

The best!
UPDATE: 08/05/2025 - This is still one of my dog's 2 fav training/play toys. A couple of notes: 1. This is not a chew toy. If your pup is chewing up the rope, that's on you. That being said, you can get 100' of the poly cord rope at Home Depot for like $4.98. You can make nearly 100 ropes out of 100'. How hard is it to replace the rope????? 2. My pup is a now 15 month old Malinois. His original balls, purchase in September 2024 are still in everyday, multiple times per day, play. I did get careless and leave one where he got it and chew the rope. Easily replaced. Nothing to fret over. Yes, that was on me! 3.The foam ball is virtually indestructible! Replace the rope! 4. I noticed the price for the yellow large went from $12 each to $24. THIS will cause me to go elsewhere if they doubled in price. I LOVE these balls but not that much. I noticed they have a new yellow ball that has a strap vs. a rope. I might try that if I need one, but I have 6 of these balls, 2 never used yet, 2 that are virtually new looking, and 2 that have been in play since september 2024. I don't think I'll be buying more any time soon, but if I do need more, I hope they haven't gone up to $24 each. One of my top, go-to training tools. Quality is great other than the shrink wrap around the string joint. It's junk but not essential. Great tug and fetch toy. Essential to teaching a good "out" command (2 are recommended for this).
